Hawstead Place Lakes are a series of terraced lakes dating back to medieval times. The fishing is available in the two upper lakes totalling 3.5 acres of water. They consist of a specimen carp lake which has been stocked with carp since 1980’s and additionally stocked with silver fish and tench and a recently cleaned out spring fed lake soon to be stocked with tench and cruscian carp.
The fishing lakes are situated in a peaceful, quiet, ancient parkland setting surrounded by sheltered hedges and woodland 2 miles south of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. Easily accessible from the A14.
They are managed by Rupert Brown who can be contacted on mobile or email ...
